Within the industrial policy you find "Future of manufacturing in Europe": In 2007 DG Enterprise and Industry commissioned a study by CPB and TNO (Netherlands) to look at the long term prospects for manufacturing in Europe. The full results of the study are contained in the documents below: firstly a qualitative analysis based on all available foresight studies and other literature, and secondly, a quantitative modelling exercise based on two scenarios, looking at developments in the periods 2006-2025 and 2025-2040.
